This project is the re-development of Coulsdon College, Old Coulsdon, Surrey.  It is a scheme to replace all of the existing College facilities in line with Learning and Skills Council guidelines for replacement of outdated facilities to provide 21st Century learning environments.

 

The re-development is phased to maintain the curriculum which will be ongoing throughout the project.

 

The Woodley Coles LLP were initially appointed to undertake cost advice during the feasibility study and to assist in the funding application to the LSC.  The practice have subsequently been appointed to provide quantity surveying and contract administration services on phase 1 (£4m – JCT SBC 05) and quantity surveying & employers agent role on phase 2 of the project. (£31m – JCT D&B 05)
Phase 1 was completed in February 2008.

 

Phase 2 was procured on a two stage design and build basis and involves extensive enabling works and temporary accommodation.  Works are due to commence in January 2009 for completion in a 135 week programme.
