The Woodley Coles LLP were appointed by the funding body, National Westminster Bank plc, to undertake Independent Monitoring Surveyor Services on the conversion and new build mix development of 9Nr apartment units. Located in the heart of the seaside town of Broadstairs the development comprises the conversion of a disused hotel into 7Nr units plus the new build of 2Nr further units to the rear of the existing property. The new build structure is traditional construction comprising trench fill foundations, insulated concrete beam and block floors, load-bearing masonry walls and partitions, slate roof on timber trusses, timber doors and windows, together with floor, wall and ceiling finishes, decorations, mechanical and electrical installations, internal and underground drainage work and associated external works.
Working closely with the Bank and the Developer interim draw downs of the loan facility are agreed and certified. The site is visited at monthly intervals and the works to date valued with Interim Reports and certification of the loan drawdown issued to the Bank.
