The project forms part of the Kent County Council’s Modernisation Programme, and is carried out as an enabling works contract for the future Isle of Sheppey Academy. 

The scheme comprises the proposed enabling works to Blocks A, B and C, formation of student entrances and reception areas with associated external works and  provision of a temporary classroom. The scope was subsequently increased to include health, beauty and food technology facilities.

The Woodley Coles LLP was appointed after the feasibility stage, to check and update the budget estimate, prepare the contract documentation, evaluate and report on the tenders received and complete the post contract cost control services.
